We're bridging the gap between community and industry

Working in the creative industries can be challenging. Work can be scarce, competition is fierce, and often you are expected to contribute your time for free.

Western Sydney creatives in particular often come up against systemic barriers to breaking into the industry. So, we've set out to change that narrative.

Made in the West is a creative production company with a long-standing connection to the Western Sydney film community.

We're also a social enterprise, which means that we generate money through trade like any other business, but we are also committed to reinvesting back into our community to create a positive impact.

Joining our talent pool is easy. There are no sign up fees and no minimum hours, which means no risk for you. Our team will source new projects, negotiate good rates, and then invite local artists from our talent pool to work together to work on different creative teams. Every job is unique!

Content Production

Whether we're livestreaming events or making documentaries, web series and promo reels, we lead the way producing high quality content with Western Sydney teams.

Content Provision

We're building a network of screening  partners to provide more opportunities for indie films to screen to new audiences. 

Creative Consultation

We hire creatives as community and cultural advisors when needed for local films, writers rooms, advisory or project supervision.

We've run Made in the West Film Festival for 15 years, plus film premieres and events, and designing workshops, mentorship programs and traineeships.
